Directions:
1. Rinse the glass with absinthe (or just add a drop and swirl).
2. Mix sugar with water, add bitters and dissolve.
3. Add whiskey or cognac and stir well.
4. Pour into the absinthe glass and garnish with a twisted lemon peel.
